Carpe Diem Tan Renga Challenge Month 2017 Chained Together 2

Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,

I am happy to present to you our new prompt-list of our Haiku Kai. This month I love to challenge you with Tan Renga. Last year, also in May, I did this also and it was a big success. As I did last year I love to create an exclusive CDHK E-book of this month. So if you participate you agree that I may use your response. (You can find our "publishing agreement" at the right of our Haiku Kai).

I am busy with creating the list of haiku which I love to use this month, in the prompt-list you will find the first lines of these haiku as the title of the episode. As I did last year I will use haiku by classical and non-classical haiku poets.

Let me tell you a little bit more about Tan Renga. As you maybe known Tan Renga is a short chained renge created by two poets. The first part of the Tan Renga is called "hokku" and the second part is called "ageku", or as Basho said: "The first part is called "Hai" and the second part "Kai".

More about Tan Renga you can find above in the menu.

Let me give you an example:

old pond
a frog jumps in
water sound

(c) Basho (Tr. Chèvrefeuille)

raindrops sparkle in the sun
on young green leaves

(c) Chèvrefeuille

As I bring these two parts together than the Tan Renga reads like a Tanka:

old pond
a frog jumps in
water sound
raindrops sparkle in the sun
on young green leaves

I am looking forward to this new exciting month and I hope you too of course.

As I told you above I don't have all prompts ready, but that will change while this month is running.
